Q. What if I need help using my new video magnifier?

Each video magnifier comes with a phone number for technical support where someone will be more than happy to help you understand how your new video magnifier works.

Q. Will I be able to see the whole page on the screen with a Video Magnifier?

No. Video Magnifiers use cameras to view objects and reading material. Zooming in or magnifying with a camera/video magnifier can be compared to how the human eye works. Zooming out or decreasing magnification can be compared to when the human eye is farther from what it is looking at, everything in its field of view appears smaller but the eye can see a larger area. Zooming in or increasing magnification is similar to when the eye is moved closer to what it wants to see, everything in its field of view appears larger but the eye does not see as large an area. All video magnifiers work this way.  The only way to achieve the magnification needed by most low vision sufferers and increase the field of view is to use a larger monitor or screen and it is still highly unlikely that you will be able to see even close whole page even with the largest monitors and screens.

Q. Do I need a High Definition or HD camera?

No. High definition or HD magnifiers and cameras are overkill for video magnifiers. At the relatively close range that video magnifiers operate at to the object being viewed, good resolution cameras will provide a good image that is clear and high resolution cameras (which are not HD cameras) will provide an excellent image that is very clear.

Q. Will the TV Listening System connect to my new digital TV?

Almost always. Almost all new TVs still have the analog audio output connections and some of our TV Listeners have digital connections. But, please feel free to contact us before you make your purchase if you are not sure.

Q. Do I need an internet and a phone connection to use a Clarity Ensemble Captioning phone?

Yes. Both are need and a high speed internet connection such as cable or fiber optic is preferred.

Q. Can I use a Magic Jack or VOIP phone service with a Clarity Ensemble Phone?

It is not recommended. We have heard of this phone working with VOIP services but we have also heard of many problems with it.

Q. Can I have an order shipped to Canada?

Yes. Most items can be shipped to Canada. If the option is not available on the checkout page, please contact us for a quote.

Q. Can I have a product shipped outside of North America.

No. Some of our products are not compatible with power supplies and video signals outside of North America and attempts to use them in other regions can severely damage them. Use of these products in regions other than North America voids all warranties and policies. And, our agreement with other manufacturers limits the regions that we can sell or ship to. Violating these agreements would lead to terminating our ability to sell these products. For these reasons, we will absolutely under no condition ship to other regions.
